With the software assurance doesn't this allow them to upgrade to the newest versions as soon as they come out?

Small to mid-sized businesses and K-12 or Higher Academic organizations can benefit from MS Volume Licensing. Microsoft Open Licensing allows organization to choose the program that best fits their needs. They can buy licenses when they need them, track them through eOpen, select Software Assurance if wanted, all through the Open License Program. If a company wants Software Assurance, Simpler Licensing Management on a single agreement, with a 3 year contract and the ability to spread the cost of the license over contract period Open Value is the program for them.
