   EMC and Intel
have announced a joint effort to improve the energy efficiency of EMC's
Atmos cloud storage system that should be available in the latter half
of next year.  The biggest step involved in improving the power management of the Atmos Cloud System will be utilizing Intel's more
power-efficient Nehalem generation Xeon
servers.
