This sounds like a nightmare Thormaster. I don't think we have found a way to use a USB printer with the data capture. I can't say if converting usb to rs232 and back will work.

	I caused a pickle! I sold a GV-800-4 and a GV-Data capture box with Ethernet capabilities. When I did the site survey, I looked at the printer and it was a well-known printer and I AssUMED, yes, I know I should have checked, it was serial; but it is connected with USB. I am thinking I can convert it to USB Serial but do not have the necessary tools to run trial text on my pc. Therefore, I have three questions. 1) Has anybody successfully converted USB to RS232 than bask to USB? If you have, what devices did you use? 2) Does anybody know a sniffer program that can capture text data from QuickBooks programs, send the text to a virtual printer, and then send text to the GV-Data capture device? 3) Does anybody have a repeating text script that can be used to send to a serial connection to assimilate a video text overlay with a computer?
